The holidays are quickly approaching and amongst the chaos of gift shopping, parties, and decorating, you may not have had time to consider what you would wear for various events. Well, I’ve got you covered and will be recommending a few pieces that would be appropriate for casual, work, and night out looks during this season. Since the holidays are all about celebrating, indulging in decadent food, and filling up on bubbly, comfort is just as important as style. Last month, I introduced you guys to a new brand that I loved for prioritizing comfort without sacrificing fashion: Chic Soul! I’m happy to partner with them again to show you looks that will have you turning heads while still leaving room to consume all your favorite holiday foods.
Similar to Thanksgiving, Christmas is definitely a time for feasting in my family. I know to be prepared for long days spent with loved ones while partaking in a plate or two of my mom’s best home cooking. For this outfit, I want something with maximum stretch while still being cute and festive. This burgundy sweater and leggings combo definitely checks all the boxes. Burgundy is the perfect color for the holidays and the sweater and leggings are comfortable enough to lounge in all day and even settle into a post dinner nap. I love the distressed design on the hem of this sweater and how it can be worn off one shoulder. I received numerous compliments while wearing this, as it’s a fun take on a staple item. The sweater is true to size, as I’m wearing an XL/1X, as well as the leggings in a 2X, which are high waisted to provide good tummy control. I paired these with booties for an even more casual look. This outfit also works for a New Year’s Eve spent at home watching the ball drop or a New Year’s Day celebration at a family member or friend’s house.
Company parties are a great time to let loose with co-workers, but you still want to dress appropriately. I was on the search for something stylish yet classy that would make a statement while enjoying libations with those you have to see again on Monday morning. This silver dress was the perfect answer as it isn’t too short (hits right above the knee) and is fully covered up top. I also love the fun bows on the sleeves, which reminds me of a present. Silver alone is a perfect color for the season, but I paired this dress with red heels to add a fun pop of color. I am wearing a size 1X, but would recommend sizing up if you are busty to allow more room in this area. Since this dress is loose fitting, it’s perfect for dancing and again, consuming some holiday treats.
When you step out this holiday season, you want all eyes on you, which is exactly what this stunning olive dress will achieve. I am wearing a 2X, which fits perfectly, allowing enough room to dance while still showing off your curves. Green is such a great color to wear for the holidays, as opposed to the traditional red, especially if you’re looking to stand out. My favorite components about this dress are the intricate lace detail and elegant high neck. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to a Christmas party, New Year party, out clubbing with the girls, or on date night, this dress has you covered! I paired this with simple black heels since the dress is already so beautiful, but I think leopard heels would be fun as well.
Don’t forget yourself this holiday season as you’re running around picking up gifts for others. These looks definitely have you covered for any event that may arise over the next few weeks, and feel free to peruse Chic Soul for even more ideas. Now what are you waiting for? Buy the dress!
